 Salcete FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Sirlim SC in the finals of GFA U-15  Division League ( Division II)  Salcete Zone at the Dramapur Ground.

The first half of the game ended with a goalless draw, as both teams showcased their defensive prowess and denied any scoring opportunities. The second half, however, brought about a turning point in the match.

In the 42nd minute, Salcete FC’s Lyod Rocha emerged as the hero, as he capitalized on a well-crafted opportunity to find the back of the net. His clinical finish sent the crowd into a frenzy and handed his team a vital lead.

Sirlim SC fought valiantly in their pursuit of an equalizer but were thwarted by a resilient Salcete FC defense. Despite their efforts, the final whistle blew, confirming Salcete FC’s 1-0 victory.

United Boys of Ambaulim and Our Lady of Gloria SC battle it out, ending in a thrilling 1-1 draw.

In an intense football clash between United Boys of Ambaulim and Our Lady of Gloria SC, both teams displayed their mettle on the field. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with each team scoring a goal.

The game kicked off with United Boys of Ambaulim taking an early lead in the 20th minute. It was Royal Oliveira who displayed excellent skill and composure to find the back of the net.

However, Our Lady of Gloria SC quickly regrouped and mounted a determined fightback. In the 35th minute, Danny Fernandes showcased his striking prowess, delivering a well-placed shot that eluded the opposition’s goalkeeper and found its way into the net, leveling the score.

Vasco United FC Dominates Verna S&CA with an Impressive 8-0 Victory

In a one-sided affair, Vasco United FC showcased their dominance by securing a resounding 8-0 win over Verna S&CA in the GFA U-15 Division League (Division II) Mormugao Zone match. The game took place at the Nagoa Ground amidst enthusiastic spectators.

Vasco United FC wasted no time in stamping their authority on the match, with Shaikh F. opening the scoring just two minutes into the game. Ansh Dharne quickly followed suit, finding the back of the net in the 6th minute, leaving Verna S&CA on the backfoot.

The onslaught continued as Messi Colaco and Ronnam De Souza added two more goals in quick succession, scoring in the 26th and 28th minutes, respectively.

Vasco United FC maintained their attacking momentum. Shawn Parado and Messi Colaco each contributed another goal, scoring in the 35+1st and 38th minutes, respectively. The scoring spree was completed by Gossley Dias, who found the net in the 66th minute.

With a final score of 8-0, Vasco United FC convincingly defeated Verna S&CA, showcasing their superior skill and clinical finishing.

GFA FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE– PLAY OFFS GFA FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE 

Cortalim Villagers S&SWA emerged triumphant with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Nuvem Sports Club in the First Division League Play-Offs. From the first whistle, it was clear that this match would be a battle of resilience. Cortalim Villagers S&SWA showcased their attacking intent, and their efforts were rewarded when Mnroy Clement found the back of the net in the 47th minute. The goal injected a surge of energy into the Cortalim side, driving them to press forward relentlessly.

As the match approached its climax, Cortalim Villagers S&SWA doubled their lead in the 79th minute through a sensational goal from Anatha Pillai, further solidifying their position in the game. However, Nuvem Sports Club refused to go down without a fight, and Inacio Colaco ignited a glimmer of hope for his team with a goal in the 89th minute.

The final moments were fraught with tension as Nuvem Sports Club desperately searched for an equalizer, but the resolute defense of Cortalim Villagers S&SWA held firm, ensuring their victory. 

Dempo Sports club (JR) defeated Young boys of tonca 5-1 in th GFA First division league on saturday. 

Snows FA, Raia dominates Ave Maria A&WC with an incredible 12-0 victory!

Snows FA, Raia showcased their attacking prowess, leaving spectators astounded with a resounding 12-0 victory over Ave Maria Athletics & Welfare Club in the GFA U-18 Division II – Salcete Zone. The match was an absolute goal-fest, with both teams displaying their skills and determination on the field.

Ivo Costa set the tone early on, finding the back of the net in the 6th minute. Livon Dias then took center stage, dazzling spectators with his clinical finishing, scoring goals in the 19th and 24th minutes. Royson Colaco added to the tally with a goal just before halftime in the 45+1 minute.

The second half witnessed an onslaught from Snows FA, Raia, with Clifton Rocha scoring in the 48 minute, Livon Dias scoring back to back two goals thereby completing his quadruple in the 52nd minute. Clifton Rocha  and Ivo Costa all found the back of the net completing their brace in the 56 minute and 72 minute respectively. Drayan Fernandes joined the goal-scoring spree with impressive strikes in the 75th and 78th minutes. Paston D’Costa’s sealed the victory for the winners. 

GFA U-15 DIVISION II LEAGUE 

At the Nagoa Panchayat Ground as Cortalim Gymkhana delivered a commanding performance, decimating Verna S&C Association with an impressive 5-0 victory. 

From the opening whistle, it was evident that Cortalim Gymkhana meant business. With their relentless attacking approach, they quickly took the lead with Declin Monteiro finding the back of the net in the 10th minute. The early goal injected a surge of confidence into the Cortalim Gymkhana team, and they continued to dominate proceedings. Ashwel Mendes further extended their lead in the 13th minute, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess.

The relentless onslaught from Cortalim Gymkhana continued as Darsh Naik added another goal to the tally in the 30th minute, leaving the Verna S&C Association struggling to keep up with the pace of the game. Mavil Silva then took center stage, scoring two sensational goals in the 40th and 46th minute, sealing the emphatic victory for Cortalim Gymkhana. 

CAC Cansaulim outplayed Vasco United with a resounding 6-1 victory. Right from the opening whistle, CAC Cansaulim asserted their authority on the field, leaving Vasco United struggling to keep pace.

In the title-clinching match, CAC Cansaulim’s goal scorers proved their mettle. Sagar Naik opened the scoring in the 14th minute, setting the tone for the team’s relentless pursuit of victory. Pradip Kullu showcased his goal-scoring prowess, finding the back of the net twice in quick succession in the 22nd and 32 minutes. Shawn Carvalho further bolstered their lead with a goal in the 25th minute.

Although Vasco United managed to pull one back through Shawn Porado’s goal in the 42nd minute, it was only a mere consolation amidst CAC Cansaulim’s overwhelming dominance. Gulshan Yadav put the icing on the cake, scoring in the 70th minute to seal their emphatic triumph.

Patrong SC showcased their dominance in a thrilling encounter against Rising Star S&CC, emerging victorious with a resounding 6-1 scoreline at the Chicalim Panchayat Ground. From the very beginning, Patrong SC demonstrated their attacking prowess, leaving their opponents struggling to keep up.

The game kicked off with a bang as Sanchit Raull of Patrong SC found the back of the net in the third minute, setting the tone for the rest of the match. Preet Talekar joined the party soon after,  in the sixth minute. The relentless pressure continued, with Aavshik Tari adding to the tally in the 20th minute, followed by Yeshwant Dhuri extending the lead in the 28th minute.

 Talekar struck again in the 37th minute, securing his brace. Rising Star S&CC managed to pull one back in the 42nd minute through a goal from Yuvjaj, offering a glimmer of hope. However, their respite was short-lived, as Ansh Shetkar sealed the victory for Patrong SC in the 61st minute, capping off an outstanding performance.

United Boys of Ambaulim dominate UYC Bogmalo, securing a 6-1 victory

United Boys of Ambaulim secured a resounding victory in the intense clash against UYC Bogmalo during the GFA Second Division League 2022-23 South District Play-Offs at Benaulim ground. 

Right from the onset, United Boys of Ambaulim displayed their dominance. Alex Fernandes set the tone for his team, breaking the deadlock in the 11th minute with a clinical finish. Just two minutes later, Rayson Carvalho showcased his striking prowess, extending the lead to 2-0 in favor of United Boys of Ambaulim.

Not to be outdone, Dailon Carvalho made his mark in the 18th minute, putting his team in a commanding position. Bradley Carvalho added to the goal, finding the back of the net in the 33rd minute, further solidifying United Boys of Ambaulim’s control over the match.

However, UYC Bogmalo fought back valiantly, as Ivan Fernandes netted a goal in the 34th minute, providing a glimmer of hope for his side. Yet, United Boys of Ambaulim swiftly responded, with Kevin Fernandes adding another goal to the tally in the 42nd minute.

Sirlim S Club Prevails in Thrilling Encounter, Salcete FC Dominates with Convincing Win

Sirlim S Club emerged victorious against Futebol Club YFA, securing a 3-2 win in the GFA U-15 Division League (Division II) Salcete Zone Play-Off. The match took place at the Dramapur Ground. 

In the 23rd minute, Sirlim S Club drew first blood as Dailon Niasso displayed exceptional skill and accuracy to find the back of the net. Futebol Club YFA responded  as Yohann Souza leveled the score in the 45th minute, instilling a renewed sense of determination in his team.

Futebol Club YFA took the lead in the 51st minute, courtesy of an impressive strike from Samuel Dsouza. However, their joy was short-lived, as Bryson Pires of Sirlim S Club equalized in the 62nd minute, displaying composure and clinical finishing.

With the match hanging in the balance, it was Samuel Colaco who proved to be the hero for Sirlim S Club. In the 68th minute, Colaco showcased his goal-scoring prowess, netting the decisive goal that ultimately sealed victory for his team.

At another match, Salcete FC emerged triumphant with a resounding 3-0 victory over Curtorim Gymkhana. 

Salcete FC wasted no time in asserting their dominance as Lyod Rocha opened the scoring in the 15th minute, demonstrating his clinical finishing abilities. The early goal set the tone for Salcete FC’s attacking prowess, and they continued to pressurize their opponents.

Pio Gomindes further extended Salcete FC’s lead with a quickfire brace in the 26th and 28th minutes. Gomindes showcased excellent composure and precision in front of goal, leaving the Curtorim Gymkhana defense helpless.

Rumdamol SC won against Ave Maria A&WC with a score of 3-1.

Rumdamol SC made an early statement of intent as Aran Coutinho found the back of the net in the 29th minute, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess. However, Ave Maria A&WC swiftly responded through Morrison Rato, who leveled the score, injecting renewed energy into the game.

Rumdamol SC regained the lead as Aran Coutinho struck again in the 44th minute, displaying his clinical finishing ability. 

Rumdamol SC maintain their attacking momentum, with Coutinho completing his hat-trick in the 63rd minute, solidifying his team’s advantage.

Ave Maria A&WC fought valiantly to make a comeback but were unable to breach the resilient Rumdamol SC defense. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to find the back of the net again, leading to a 3-1 victory for Rumdamol SC.

In another match, Snow FA triumphed over RAIA with a score of 2-0.The match remained tightly contested for the majority of the game, with neither side able to break the deadlock. However, in the 82nd minute, Livon Dias of Snow FA Raia displayed exceptional individual brilliance, scoring a stunning goal that sent their supporters into raptures.

As the game entered injury time, Snow FA Raia sealed their victory with a late strike. Sweetlon Fernandes capitalized on a scoring opportunity in the 90+1st minute, doubling their team’s lead and ensuring a well-deserved win.

Betalbatim SC and Cortalim Villagers S&AWA played to a goalless draw.

Cortalim Villagers  S&SWA defeated SALGAOCAR FC (JRS) 

Cortalim Villagers Social Welfare Association maintained their impressive Playoff league run with a 2-1 triumph over Salgaocar Jr’s in their opening match at Nagoa ground. Cyril Dias emerged as the hero for Cortalim Villagers, netting both goals to secure the victory. Although Harish Madkaikar managed to pull one back for Salgaocar Jr’s, it wasn’t enough to overcome the determined Cortalim Villagers. The first half concluded with Cortalim Villagers leading 2-1. The match showcased the Villagers’ dominance, resilience, and clinical finishing.

In another match, Nuvem SC defeated Dempo SC Jrs 1-0 in the GFA First divison league on Wednesday.
