Snows FA Raia wasted no time in making their mark as Livon Dias showcased his proficiency with two early goals in the 3rd and 14th minutes, respectively. His clinical finishing left the Cortalim defense bewildered and provided a strong foundation for his team’s dominance.

Betalbatim SC demonstrated their dominance in a thrilling GFA U-18 Division II Salcete Zone 2022-23 clash against Ave Maria A&WC at Benaulim Ground. Irfan’s clinical finishing proved to be the difference as he netted two crucial goals in the 65th and 79th minute.

From the kickoff, both teams exhibited strong determination and tactical awareness. Ave Maria A&WC’s solid defense initially thwarted Betalbatim SC’s attacking moves, creating a tense atmosphere on the pitch. However, Betalbatim SC persisted and gradually gained control.

In the 65th minute, Irfan showcased his striking prowess, capitalizing on a well-crafted opportunity to break the deadlock and put Betalbatim SC in the lead

Just 14 minutes later, Irfan once again showcased his clinical finishing, extending Betalbatim SC’s advantage to 2-0. Ave Maria A&WC fought back valiantly, but Betalbatim SC’s resilient defense held firm, denying any chances for their opponents to score.

As the final whistle blew, Betalbatim SC celebrated a convincing 2-0 victory, courtesy of Iran’s impressive brace. 

Salcete FC emerged victorious over Ave Maria W. Club

In a thrilling encounter at the Trinity Ground in Benaulim, Salcete FC emerged victorious over Ave Maria W. Club in the finals of the GFA U-13, 2nd Division Salcete Zone. The match was closely contested by both teams with several close calls and missed opportunities throughout the game.

The decisive moment of the match came in the 72nd minute when Salcete FC’s Swinston Fernandes found the back of the net with a well-placed shot. The goal sparked wild celebrations from the Salcete FC supporters as they knew they were on the verge of a victory.

Despite the best efforts of Ave Maria W. Club, they were unable to find an equalizer in the remaining time, and the final whistle blew with Salcete FC emerging victorious by a solitary goal.

GFA U-18 DIVISION LEAGUE (DIVISION II) 

In an exciting U-18 Division II League match in the Salcete Zone, Cortalim Villagers S&SWA emerged victorious over Rumdamol SC with a scoreline of 4-0 at the Nagoa Ground.

The match began with Cortalim Villagers S&SWA displaying a dominant performance from the outset, and it didn’t take long for them to score the opening goal. In the 17th minute, Jayson Gama of Cortalim Villagers S&SWA scored the first goal of the match, putting his team in the lead.

Despite the efforts of Rumdamol SC to turn the game around, Cortalim Villagers S&SWA maintained their lead and doubled their advantage in the 55th minute when Nalroy Dias scored the second goal. Jayson Gama continued to impress with his striking abilities, scoring his second goal of the game in the 64th minute, giving his team a comfortable lead.

In the final stages of the match, Eshwar Bandiwadar of Cortalim Villagers S&SWA sealed the victory for his team with a goal in the 70th minute, making it a comprehensive 4-0 win for the team.

Snows FA Raia secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Betalbatim SC in an exhilarating football match at the Navelim Ground. Despite Betalbatim SC taking the lead early on, Snows FA Raia mounted a comeback to secure the win.

Betalbatim SC made a strong start to the match, with Om Honawarker scoring the opening goal in the 8th minute. However, Snows FA Raia didn’t let the early setback dampen their spirits, and they continued to push forward.

Their efforts paid off in the 31st minute, when Livon Dias scored the equalizer, igniting the Snows FA Raia fans in the stadium. Dias continued his impressive form, scoring his second goal of the game in the 41st minute, putting his team in the lead.

Betalbatim SC tried to find their way back into the game, but Snows FA Raia’s defense remained solid, denying them any clear chances. In the 80th minute, Drayan Fernandes of Snows FA Raia put the match to bed with a superb goal, extending his team’s lead to 3-1.

In an entertaining match at the DBO Fatorda Ground, Panchwadi United SC defeated Ave Maria A&WC 3-1.

Ave Maria A&WC got off to a perfect start, with Kumar Rathod scoring in the 2nd minute to give his team an early lead. However, Panchwadi United SC responded quickly, with Arun Galve equalizing just six minutes later. Flaviaus Fernandes then put Panchwadi United SC in the lead in the 11th minute with a well-taken goal.

Ave Maria A&WC tried to fight back and create chances, but Panchwadi United SC’s defense remained resolute, denying their opponents any clear openings. In the 44th minute, Silvan Fernandes scored for Panchwadi United SC to extend their lead to 3-1, effectively putting the game out of reach.

UYC Bogmalo and  Mormugao United  are qualified for the playoff. 

United Youth Club of Bogmalo are the winners  of the GFA Second Division League- Mormugao Zone.

UYC Bogmalo took control of the match from the start, with Sherwin Abranches scoring the opening goal in the 6th minute. The goal gave UYC Bogmalo the momentum they needed, and they continued to create chances throughout the first half, but couldn’t capitalize on them.

In the second half, Chicalim SC tried to mount a comeback, but UYC Bogmalo’s defense remained solid, denying their opponents any clear openings. Sherwin Abranches then scored his second goal of the match in the 75th minute, further extending UYC Bogmalo’s lead.

In the 90th minute, Eshley Fernandes scored the third goal for UYC Bogmalo, effectively ending any hopes of a Chicalim SC comeback.

In another match, Mormugao United S&CC, emerged as runners up. In an intense football match played between Parish Youth Consua and Mormugao United S&CC, the latter emerged victorious with a scoreline of 2-0. The match was held at the Chicalim Panchayat Ground and saw some great football action.

The game began with both teams displaying excellent skills and tactics, but it was Mormugao United S&CC who found the breakthrough in the 65th minute when Deepak Bind scored a brilliant goal. This goal gave Mormugao United S&CC the lead and boosted their confidence.

Despite the setback, Parish Youth Consua tried their best to come back into the game but failed to convert their chances. In the 78th minute, Wassim Kharges doubled the lead for Mormugao United S&CC with a well-placed shot .

The remaining minutes saw Parish Youth Consua attempting to score but failing to capitalize on their opportunities. The match ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of Mormugao United S&CC.

In an exciting encounter between SCC Loutolim and Ave Maria A&W club, Loutolim emerged victorious with a 3-2 scoreline. 

Caleb Lourenco of Ave Maria A&W club scored the opening goal in the first minute of the game, but Maison Fernandes of SCC Loutolim equalized in the 14th minute.

Prosen Mondal of Ave Maria A&W club scored a goal in the 36th minute, Sujit Kerketta then scored for  SCC Loutolim in the 60th minute, but Ave Maria A&W club kept fighting and came close to equalizing.

Maison Fernandes secured Loutolim’s win with another goal in the 62nd minute, making it a brace for him. The game was filled with intense moments and saw some excellent performances from both teams.

GFA SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE 

The Parish Youth Association, Consua secured a hard-fought victory over Chicalim Sports Club by a solitary goal in the GFA Second Division League match played at the Panchayat ground, Chicalim. The only goal of the match was scored by Denzil Fernandes for PYA in the 43rd minute of the first half.

In another match played at the Tilak Maidan, United Youth Club of Bogmalo maintained their unbeaten run in the league despite being held to a 2-2 draw by a spirited Mormugao United SCC. The teams were tied at 1-1 at half-time. Sherwyn Fernandes scored a brace for Bogmalo, while Abhishekh and Deepak Bind found the back of the net for Mormugao United.

Betalbatim SC secure dominating 9-0 win against Rumdamol SC 

Betalbatim Sports Club displayed a dominating performance against Rumdamol Sports Club in the Goa Football Association’s U-18 Second Division League played at Nagoa ground on Tuesday. The match saw Betalbatim SC scoring a massive 9-0 victory against Rumdamol SC.Right from the start of the game, Betalbatim SC showed their intent to win as Irfal Lal opened the scoring in the 1st minute. Rohan Yadav doubled the lead in the 6th minute, followed by Irfal’s second goal in the 22nd minute. Stanford Colaco then extended the lead to 4-0 in the 38th minute. Irfal rounded off the first half scoring his third and Betalbatim’s fifth goal in the 40th minute.In the second half, Betalbatim SC resumed their dominance and quickly found the back of the net through Gladson Braganza in the 42nd minute. Samuel Barretto added to the lead in the 55th minute, before Irfal netted his fourth goal of the game in the 61st minute. Rohan Yadav completed his brace scoring the last goal of the game in the 68th minute, bringing the final score to 9-0 in favor of Betalbatim SC.

Churchill Brothers SC emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over FC Goa 

In a highly competitive Group B encounter at the Nagoa Ground, Churchill Brothers SC emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over FC Goa in the GFA U-20 TACA Goa 2022-23. The only goal of the match was scored by Roger Pereira of Churchill Brothers in the 51st minute, after a well-placed pass from his teammate. Both teams showed great attacking intent, but it was Churchill Brothers who dominated possession and created more opportunities. FC Goa fought hard, but struggled to penetrate Churchill Brothers’ defense.
