In a thrilling encounter in the U-15 Division League 2022-23 (Division II) Salcete Zone Group A, Futebol Club YFA emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda at the DBO Fatorda Ground.

Futebol Club YFA took the lead in the 25th minute, when Puran Thapil scored a well-placed goal after some great build-up play from his team. Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda fought back in the second half, with Vellan Furtado scoring an equalizer in the 55th minute.

The match continued to be tightly contested, with both teams creating chances and playing with great intensity. However, it was Futebol Club YFA who came out on top, with Saret Maghwal scoring the winning goal in the 70+3 minute to secure the victory.

In another match, in a highly anticipated football match at the Nagoa Ground, South Goa United emerged victorious against SCC Loutolim with a score of 1-0. The match was a close contest with both teams showing a lot of skill and determination throughout the game.

South Goa United started the match with great energy and put pressure on the SCC Loutolim defense from the very beginning. However, the defense of SCC Loutolim held strong and did not allow any goals in the first half.

In the second half, South Goa United continued to apply pressure and finally managed to break through in the 60th minute with a goal from Jayden Pinto. SCC Loutolim tried to mount a comeback but were unable to find the back of the net, with South Goa United’s defense standing firm.

U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE 2022-23 (DIVISION II) SALCETE ZONE- GROUP B

SFX Gonvol Xeldem emerged victorious with a convincing 7-0 win over Pinto’s YC Baradi in a U-15 Division League 2022-23 (Division II) match held at Navelim Ground.

Myron Rebello opened the scoring for SFX Gonvol Xeldem in the 12th minute, followed by a goal from Ishan Hsarad in the 25th minute. Myron Rebello added to the scoreline just before half-time, scoring his second goal in the 39th minute. Cassius Fernandes found the back of the net in the 41st minute, while Adwic Fernandes scored in the 53rd minute. Jolen Pexote and Genesis Pexote scored in the 64th and 67th minute respectively to complete the scoring for SFX Gonvol Xeldem.

SFX Gonvol Xeldem dominated the match from the start, with their players showing great coordination and teamwork. Their attacking display was too much for Pinto’s YC Baradi to handle, as they struggled to create chances and defend against SFX Gonvol Xeldem’s attacking prowess. 

In another match, Curtorim Gymkhana dominated Davorlim SC in a thrilling football match held at DBO Ground Fatorda. The final scoreline of 5-1 reflected the attacking prowess of Curtorim Gymkhana.

The first goal of the match was scored by Anselm Fernandes of Curtorim Gymkhana in the 16th minute. He continued his goal-scoring form and netted two more goals in the 42nd and 62nd minute respectively. Veneal Fernandes added to the scoreline in the 65th minute with another goal for Curtorim Gymkhana.

Despite trailing by 4 goals, Davorlim SC did not give up and managed to pull one back through Vivayash Bhosle’s goal in the 67th minute. However, Anselm Fernandes completed his quadruple in the 71st minute, putting Curtorim Gymkhana ahead by four goals once again.

Salcete FC secured an impressive 10-0 victory against Ave Maria A & WC

Salcete FC secured an impressive 10-0 victory against Ave Maria A & WC in a U-15 Division League 2022-23 (Division II) match held at Benaulim Ground.

Salcete FC took the lead early on, with Pio Gomendes scoring in the second minute. Raphael Miranda added to the scoreline in the fifth minute, followed by a brace from Lyod Rocha in the 10th and 14th minute respectively. Periston Dias and Steyen Gomes also found the back of the net in the 17th and 18th minute, while Pio Gomendes scored his second goal in the 19th minute. Josley Gomes scored just before half-time, in the 35+1 minute, while Ayan Fernandes and Mark Pinto completed the scoring in the 39th and 53rd minute respectively.

Salcete FC dominated the match from start to finish and their attacking display was too much for Ave Maria A & WC to handle. Their players showed great teamwork and coordination, with excellent finishing in front of goal.

GFA U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE

Rossman Cruz Nagoa secured a 4-2 victory against Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda in the Goa Football Association U-15 Division II League at the DBO ground in Fatorda, on Wednesday.

The match saw early drama when Rossman Cruz took the lead in just the second minute through Daren Noronha. Alvito Pereira doubled the advantage for the visitors in the ninth minute.

DBO Fatorda fought back and managed to reduce the deficit at the half-hour mark. However, their hopes of a comeback were dashed when Alvito scored his second goal of the game in the 34th minute, giving Rossman Cruz a two-goal lead again.

The second half saw DBO Fatorda come out with renewed energy and Franjoy Andrade scored in the 55th minute, bringing the score to 2-3. However, Rossman Cruz continued to apply pressure and managed to score again in the 64th minute through Pervin Patel, extending their lead to 4-2.

The match was not without its fair share of controversies. Emistron Miranda of DBO Fatorda received a double booking, leading to his sending off in the second half. Adrian Noronha of the same team was also shown a yellow card for rough play.

In the end, Rossman Cruz held on to their two-goal lead to secure the win.

In an exciting match held at Navelim, Salcete FC defeated South Goa United 2-1. The first half of the match was evenly contested, with both teams displaying good attacking football but failing to find the back of the net. It was in the second half that the game really came to life. Josley Gomes of Salcete FC opened the scoring in the 47th minute with a well-placed shot. Two minutes later, Juvenio Simdes doubled the lead for Salcete FC. However, South Goa United did not give up and managed to pull one back through Shiva Lohra in the 52nd minute. Despite their best efforts, South Goa United were unable to find an equalizer and the match ended in a hard-fought victory for Salcete FC.

In another match, FC YFA scored a resounding 4-0 win over SCC Loutolim at SAG ground, Benaulim.

Vivaan Sampat scored a brace for the winning team netting both his goals in the second session, while Elrad Braganza and Casvino Fernandes were the other goal getters for the winners.

Vasco United FC win

Debutants Vasco United FC emerged victorious in their match against Cortalim Gymkhana with a scoreline of 3-1 in the Third Division League at the Tilak Maidan Vasco da Gama. The game saw Vasco United dominate right from the start, with Johan Mesquita scoring the first goal in the 27th minute. The second goal was scored almost immediately after by the same player, as the Cortalim keeper was unable to keep up with the action. Vasco United held on to their lead in the second half, with substitute Aaron Fernandes scoring the third goal. Cortalim tried to make a comeback, and Rizelmo Dias scored a consolation goal in the 89th minute.

With this win, Vasco United FC now have nine points from three wins and lead the table in the Third Division League. It was a well-deserved win for the team, who showed excellent attacking prowess and defended resolutely to earn all three points. Their fans will be hoping for more of the same in their upcoming matches as they continue their quest for promotion.

GFA U-15 SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE

In a closely contested match at DBO Fatorda Ground, Davorlim SC drew 2-2 with SC de Rumdamol. The game started off with a quick goal by Savesh Gaunkar of SC de Rumdamol in the 13th minute, catching Davorlim SC off guard. However, Davorlim SC quickly retaliated with a goal by Vanesteve Dias in the 27th minute, leveling the score.

The game continued to be evenly matched, with both teams vying for control. In the 35th minute, Savesh Gaunkar struck again for SC de Rumdamol, taking the lead once again. However, Davorlim SC refused to give up and fought back with determination. In the 50th minute, Royan Colaco of Davorlim SC scored a crucial goal, leveling the score once again.

Both teams continued to play with intensity, but neither was able to break the deadlock. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with both teams earning a well-deserved point. 

In another match, the match started with a bang as Jolen Peixote scored a goal for SFX Gonvol Xeldem in the 4th minute. However, it was all downhill from there for the team as Sirlim SC took control of the game. Jade Pires of Sirlim SC scored in the 29th minute, followed by Samuel Colaco in the 33rd minute. Dallon Niasso added another goal to the tally in the 66th minute, and Samuel Colaco sealed the deal with his second goal in the 70+2 minute.

SFX Gonvol Xeldem had no answer to Sirlim SC’s attack and failed to create any clear-cut chances throughout the match. Sirlim SC’s defense was rock-solid, and their attacking players were clinical in front of the goal.

Raia FC emerged victorious 

Raia FC emerged victorious in a high-scoring match against Maina SC in the GFA U-13 Division League 2022-23 (Division II) Salcete Zone, Group A. The match was held at the Rosary Church Ground in Navelim, Goa at 8:00 AM.

Raia FC started strong with Shannon D’costa scoring in the 5th and 9th minute, followed by another goal from Ashloy Furtado in the 28th minute. Maina SC fought back with Farhan Shaikh scoring in the 16th minute and Kingsly Fernandes in the 20th minute, but Raia FC maintained their lead with another goal from D’costa in the 32nd, 35th, 41st, and 59th minute.

Maina SC scored again in the 63rd minute through Farhan Shaikh, but Raia FC responded immediately with Samuel Cruz scoring in the 64th minute and Furtado scoring again in the 67th minute. The final score was 9-3 in favor of Raia FC.

U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE 2022-23 (DIVISION II)

South Goa United  put up a spectacular performance, thrashing Ave Maria A&W Club 9-0 in a one-sided match. Enrique Rodrigues was the star of the show, scoring two quick goals in the 7th and 10th minute of the match. Alex Fernandes continued the onslaught, scoring another goal for South Goa United SC in the 13th minute. Rodrigues added to his tally, scoring his second goal in the 17th minute.

Fernandes found the back of the net again in the 26th and 55th minute, with Veagan C. scoring in the 65th minute. Eldrich D’Silva and Flino B. also got on the scoresheet, scoring in the 70th and 77th minute respectively.

Despite their best efforts, Ave Maria A&W Club failed to register a single goal, with South Goa United SC proving to be too strong for them

The match between SCC Loutolim and Rossmon Cruz Nagoa was a thrilling affair, with both teams fighting tooth and nail to secure a win. The match ended in a 3-3 draw, with neither team able to break the deadlock in the closing stages of the game.

Rossmon Cruz Nagoa  got off to a flying start, with Vishal Kumar scoring in the 4th minute. However, SCC Loutolim quickly responded, with Ashwin Miranda scoring just three minutes later. Jelito Miranda then put Rossmon Cruz Nagoa ahead again in the 14th minute.

In the second half, SCC Loutolim came back strongly, with Saad Sheikh scoring in the 57th minute to level the scores. Solomon Quadros then gave Rossmon Cruz Nagoa the lead once again in the 78th minute, but Carl Soares equalized for SCC Loutolim just two minutes later.

Salcete F Club emerged victorious in their match against Futebol Club YFA, with a comprehensive 4-1 win.Salcete F Club started off strong, with Josley Gomes scoring in the 2nd minute. Pio Gomindes added to their lead, scoring two quick goals in the 3rd and 21st minute. Futebol Club YFA fought hard and managed to pull one back, with Cyrus Carvalho scoring in the 55th minute.

However, Salcete F Club refused to take their foot off the gas, with Pio Gomindes scoring his third goal of the match in the 74th minute, sealing a well-deserved victory for his team.

Cortalim Gymkhana secured a 2-1 victory over Ace Soccer Academy Sports and Cultural Club 

Cortalim Gymkhana secured a 2-1 victory over Ace Soccer Academy Sports and Cultural Club in a closely contested match of the GFA Third Division League. The match took place at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco, with both teams putting up a good fight from the outset.

Cortalim’s star striker Amit Naik was the first to score, giving his team a well-deserved lead at half time. In the second half, Amit scored again, consolidating Cortalim’s position on the field. However, Ace Soccer didn’t give up and managed to reduce the margin, with Prem Chauhan scoring a goal for his team.

Despite the pressure from Ace Soccer, Cortalim managed to hold on to their lead until the final whistle, clinching a hard-earned victory.

Patrong and Benfica battle to a 2-2 draw in GFA Third Division League

Patrong SC and Benfica YC played a thrilling encounter in their Round 3 match of the GFA Third Division League at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco. The game ended in a 2-2 draw after a last minute goal by Adil Shaik helped Patrong SC snatch a point.

Benfica YC took the lead in the 14th minute through Preetesh Mayenkar’s goal, but Patrong SC fought back and leveled the scores with a goal from Ajay Patel. Patrong SC’s goalkeeper, Gopal Naik, made an impressive double save to keep the teams level at halftime.

In the second half, Dheeraj scored a good goal to put Benfica YC ahead. However, Patrong SC pressed hard in the dying minutes of the game and finally scored the equalizer through Adil Shaik, securing a valuable point for their team.
