U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE 2022-23 (DIVISION II)

Sirlim SC emerged victorious in their U-15 Division League match against Pinto’s Youth YC Baradi, winning 5-3 in a thrilling encounter at the Dramapur Ground in Salcete, Goa.

The match got off to an exciting start with Abner Lourenco opening the scoring for Sirlim in the 12th minute. Pinto’s Youth Club  quickly responded with Claron Pinto equalizing just three minutes later. Sirlim regained the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal from Valan Dsa, but Chrysler Simoes of Pinto’s YC leveled the scores once again in the 60th minute.

Pinto’s YC took the lead for the first time in the match when Claron Pinto scored his second goal in the 71st minute. However, Sirlim showed great determination and equalized just a minute later through Samuel Colaco. Sirlim then took control of the match with two quickfire goals from Desiderio Barreto and Samuel Colaco in the 73rd and 76th minute, respectively.

In the end, it was Sirlim SC who emerged victorious with a well-deserved 5-3 win over Pinto’s Youth club. 

In another match, Curtorim Gymkhana emerged victorious against SFX Gonvol Xeldem in a closely fought match in the GFA U15 II division league. The match was played at the DBO Fatorda ground in Salcete, Goa.

Curtorim Gymkhana started the match on the front foot, with Floyd Antao opening the scoring in the early stages. Things went from bad to worse for SFX Gonvol Xeldem as Mohammed Hatriwale scored an own goal in the 5th minute, making it 2-0 in favor of Curtorim Gymkhana.

SFX Gonvol Xeldem showed great fighting spirit and managed to pull one back through Adwic Fernandes in the 18th minute. However, despite their best efforts, they were unable to find the equalizer, and the match ended in a 2-1 win for Curtorim Gymkhana.

GFA FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE 

In an exciting encounter between Cuncolim Union and Nuvem SC at the Betalbatim Ground, Cuncolim Union emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline. The match started off with a bang as Velvino Fernandes of Cuncolim Union found the back of the net in just the 5th minute of the game.

Nuvem SC tried to make a comeback but the Cuncolim Union defense was too strong for them. The second goal for Cuncolim Union came in the 35th minute, when Ryce Fernandes scored a brilliant goal to seal the victory for his team.

The second half saw both teams making efforts to score, but the scoreline remained unchanged. Cuncolim Union held on to their lead and managed to secure all three points from the game.

The victory was a well-deserved one for Cuncolim Union, who played an excellent game. The team showcased great coordination, teamwork and determination on the field, which ultimately led them to victory.

In an exciting encounter between YC Manora and SCC Cavelossim at the Benaulim Ground, YC Manora emerged victorious with a 5-2 scoreline. The match saw some excellent displays of football from both teams.

 Joswel Cardozo scored an own goal in the 16th minute of the game giving SCC Cavelossim  an early lead . However, YC Manora quickly responded with a goal from Sweden Barboza in the 21st minute. Kanchan Kiro then scored for Cavelossim SC in the 26th minute, but Sweden Barboza scored again in the 51st minute to level the scoreline.

The second half saw YC Manora dominate the game, with Garrison Fernandes scoring a goal in the 66th minute to give them the lead. Aliston Fernandes then scored twice in the 83rd and 89th minute to seal the victory for his team.

Cortalim Villagers secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Sao Jose de Areal in their GFA First Division League encounter at the Nagoa Ground. The match saw some excellent displays of football from Cortalim Villagers.

Cidroy Dsouza set the tone for Cortalim Villagers early on in the game, scoring a brilliant goal in the 3rd minute of the match. The early goal gave Cortalim Villagers the lead and the team looked confident on the ball.

Sao Jose de Areal tried to make a comeback in the second half, but Cortalim Villagers’ defense was too strong to break through. Cortalim Villagers continued to dominate the game, with Staley Lucas scoring a crucial goal in the 57th minute to extend their lead.

The second half saw both teams creating several chances, but it was Cortalim Villagers who capitalized on their opportunities. The team showcased great coordination, teamwork and determination on the field, which ultimately led them to victory

Curtorim Gymkhana and Mandopa SC played out an intense 1-1 draw in their GFA First Division League encounter at the Betalbatim Ground. The match saw some excellent displays of football from both teams.

Curtorim Gymkhana started off strong, with Tyson Fernandes scoring a brilliant goal in the 63rd minute of the game. The goal gave Curtorim Gymkhana the lead and the team looked poised to take all three points.

However, Mandopa SC did not give up and kept pressing for the equalizer. Their efforts paid off in the dying minutes of the game, as Presly Fernandes scored a crucial goal in the 90th minute to level the scoreline.

The second half saw both teams creating numerous chances to score, but it was only in the final minutes that the game came to life. The draw was a fair result, as both teams displayed some great football on the field.

Patrong Sports Club WIN


In a thrilling encounter, Patrong Sports Club emerged victorious against Cortalim Gymkhana in the GFA Third Division League Round 2 match played at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco da Gama. Patrong overcame a first-half deficit to win 3-1 and secure a crucial three points.

Cortalim took an early lead in the first half through a goal scored by Amit Naik, which they managed to hold onto until the break. However, Patrong came out with renewed vigour in the second half and soon got the equalizer through Aster. The game was then turned on its head as Ajay Patil scored twice to give Patrong a commanding lead.

GFA U15 RESULTS

Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Pintos YC of Baradi 4-0. The game started on an attacking note. Both the teams were unable to take a lead in the first half. In the second half, Aditya Thakur opened the scoring for the winners in the 47th minute. Anselm Fernandes, the star of the match, scored a hattrick in the 61st, 80th  and 81st minutes securing the victory.

SFX Gonvol beat Sc De Rumdamol  3-1. Francisco Dias of SFX Gonvol scored in the 26 minute. Jolen Pexito  doubled the lead.  At the breather SFX Gonvol  were in lead with 2-0 . In the second half, Gaunkar of Sc De Rumdamol scored in the 55 minute. Ishan Shaikhsard scored in the 78 minute for SFX Gonvol  sealing the victory.

GFA FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE

Curtorim Gymkhana and Cuncolim Union played out a draw 2-2. Semson Fernandes  scored in the 31st minute giving a lead to Curtorim Gymkhana. Denil Rebello scored for Cuncolim Union through a penalty in the 38th minute. Hanslum Furtado scored the second for Curtorim Gymkhana in the 41st minute and soon Cuncolim Union equalised the score through M Rodrigues in the 55th minute

In another match, YC Manora defeated Sao Jose De Areal 2-1 for GFA first division league on Monday. The match started on the attacking note where  YC Manora scored their first through Sweden Fernandes in the 8th minute. Sao Jose De Areal equalised the score through Sandeep Chaudhary in the 34 the minute. Joswel Cardozo scorer the second for YC Manora In the 39 minute thereby sealing the victory.

U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE 

In an exciting U-15 Division League 2022-23 match, Futebol Club YFA took on South Goa United at Navelim Ground. The match was closely contested in the first half, but it was YFA who took the lead just before half-time through a goal from Yohann Souza in the 40+2 minute.


The second half saw South Goa United push forward in search of an equalizer, but Futebol Club YFA’s defense held strong. In the 75th minute, YFA doubled their lead through a well-placed shot from Puran Thopil.

Despite their best efforts, South Goa United couldn’t find a way past YFA’s defense and the match ended with a 2-0 victory for Futebol Club YFA.

In another one-sided encounter at DBO Fatorda Ground, Salcete FC outclassed DBO Fatorda with a resounding 5-0 victory in the U-15 Division League 2022-23. Salcete FC dominated from the start, with Pio Gomindes scoring the first goal in the 24th minute. Joston Dias added to the tally in the 31st minute.

In the second half, Salcete FC continued their attacking display with Juvenio Simoes scoring in the 48th minute. Pio Gomindes then completed his brace with goals in the 63rd and 72nd minute. DBO Fatorda tried to mount a comeback, but the Salcete FC defense stood firm to maintain a clean sheet.

Elsewhere, Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC put in a dominant display against Ave Maria A &WC at Benaulim Ground, winning the U-15 Division League 2022-23 match with a comfortable 4-0 scoreline. Darren Noronha opened the scoring for Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC in the 29th minute, giving his team the lead going into the second half.

In the second half, Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC continued to dominate and Vishnu Chawan scored two quick goals in the 68th and 71st minute to extend their lead. Sunil J Pereira added a fourth goal for Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC in the 75th minute, capping off an impressive performance from the team.

Despite their best efforts, Ave Maria A &WC couldn’t find a way past the Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC defense, as the match ended with a 4-0 victory for Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC.

Goa Velha SC defeated BITS Pilani 

Goa Velha SC dominated their GFA First Division League match against BITS Pilani at Salvador do Mundo, winning 5-1. Richie Vaz opened the scoring for Goa Velha SC in the 51st minute, followed by goals from Sahil Kuttikar, Richie Vaz, and Jonas Colaco in the 62nd, 76th, and 86th minutes respectively. Despite being down 4-0, BITS Pilani managed to score a consolation goal through Dwayne Neto in the 89th minute. However, Lokendra Thapa of Goa Velha SC added another goal, sealing the comprehensive victory for his team. It was a dominant performance from Goa Velha SC, who thoroughly outplayed their opponents.

GFA U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE

Sirlim SC displayed a dominant performance in their match against Curtorim Gymkhana in the GFA U-15 Division II league at Navelim Ground. Sirlim SC won the match 6-0, with Dallon Niasso scoring the first goal in the 5th minute. Amancio Fernandes of Sirlim SC scored through a penalty in the 18th minute, while Niasso scored his second goal in the 63rd minute. Samuel Colaco added to the scoreline in the 66th minute, and Abner Lourenso and Caian Pires scored in the 75th and 78th minute respectively. Sirlim SC’s impressive performance earned them a well-deserved victory over Curtorim Gymkhana.

In another match, Davorlim Sc V/S SFX Gonvol Xeldem, Don Bosco Fatorda Ground, 4:45pm
Davorlim SC and SFX Gonvol Xeldem played out an exciting draw in their GFA U-15 Division II league match at Don Bosco Fatorda Ground. Myron Rebello of SFX Gonvol Xeldem opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Maben Costa of Davorlim Sc equalized just before half-time in the 45th minute. Sarthak Naik of Davorlim Sc put them ahead in the 67th minute, but Myron Rebello scored his second goal of the game in the 80th minute to secure a draw for SFX Gonvol Xeldem. Both teams showed great determination, and the match ended in a well-fought 2-2 draw.

Elsewhere, Pinto’s YC Baradi emerged victorious in their GFA U-15 Division II league match against SC de Rumdamol at Dramapur Ground. Shefield Dias and Claron Pinto of Pinto’s YC Baradi scored early on in the 2nd and 6th minute respectively. However, Pranav Borkar of SC de Rumdamol managed to score in the 14th minute to reduce the deficit. Leo Miranda of Pinto’s YC Baradi scored in the 60th minute, but Dishant Pandey of SC de Rumdamol quickly responded with a goal in the 63rd minute. Jonas Fernandes and Claron Pinto added to the scoreline in the 71st and 78th minute respectively, securing a 5-2 win for Pinto’s YC Baradi. It was a commendable effort from both teams, but Pinto’s YC Baradi emerged as the better side on the day. 

GFA FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE

Mandopa SC defeated YC Manora 3-1 in their GFA First Division League match at Navelim Ground. Ajay Raj was the star for Mandopa SC, scoring two goals in the 6th and 26th minutes, while Rovan Pereira added a third goal in the 65th minute. YC Manora fought back with a goal from Eldon Colaco in the 75th minute, but it wasn’t enough to secure a result. The game was marred by red cards for both sides, with Presly Pinto of Mandopa SC and Pravin Rathod of YC Manora both receiving direct red cards in the 90+8 minute. Mackroy Peixoto of Mandopa SC and Eldon Colaco of YC Manora also received second yellow cards after the match.

In another match, Sao Jose de Areal secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Curtorim Gymkhana in their match at the Don Bosco Fatorda Ground. The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw until Vasudev Dhamgoy scored a late winner for Sao Jose de Areal in the 90+1 minute. The result will be a huge boost for Sao Jose de Areal, while Curtorim Gymkhana will be left ruing missed opportunities.

Salcete FC outclassed SCC Loutolim 6-0

Salcete FC put up a dominant display as they outclassed SCC Loutolim 6-0 in their U-15 Division League encounter. The match, played at the Benaulim Ground, saw Salcete FC completely outplay their opponents in every department.

Steven Gomes opened the scoring for Salcete FC in the 18th minute with a well-placed shot that beat the Loutolim goalkeeper. Pio Gomindes then took over the scoring duties, netting four goals in the 22nd, 49th, 68th and 76th minute respectively. Mark Pinto rounded off the scoring for Salcete FC in the 64th minute with a clinical finish.
