 CAC Cansaulim EMERGED AS THE CHAMPIONS

At Benaulim Ground, CAC Cansaulim secured a hard-fought victory, emerging as the champions of GFA U-15 League Division II  with a narrow 1-0 win against Salcete SC on Wednesday.

The match proved to be a gripping spectacle from start to finish, with both teams showcasing their exceptional skills, determination, and unwavering spirit. However, it was CAC Cansaulim’s ability to capitalize on their opportunities that ultimately proved decisive.

The defining moment arrived in the 35th minute when Pradip Kullu of CAC Cansaulim exhibited his clinical finishing skills, launching an exceptional strike that found the back of the net and sent his team into the lead. Kullu’s remarkable goal demonstrated his composure and talent under pressure, electrifying the crowd and giving his team a crucial advantage.

Both sides continued to battle fiercely throughout the match, leaving spectators in awe of their skillful play and unyielding commitment. In the 54th minute, the intensity reached its peak as Elijah Gomes of CAC Cansaulim received a yellow card, further highlighting the competitive nature of the final.

Chapora Yuvak Sangh qualified for the GFA First Division league

Chapora Yuvak Sangh showcased their dominance and secured a resounding  4-0 victory over United Boys of Ambaulim in the GFA second division league  at the Nagoa ground, solidifying their qualification for the GFA First Division league.

It was Sachitanant Satekar who seized the opportunity to break the deadlock in the 16th minute, unleashing a powerful strike that nestled into the back of the net,  giving Chapora Yuvak Sangh  the lead. Not content with just one goal, Sharie Gomes made his mark in the 36th minute, doubling the lead with a clinical finish that left the opposition defense in disarray.

As halftime approached, Pratik Dhargalkar of Chapora Yuvak Sangh received a yellow card in the 45+3 minute, adding a touch of intensity to the proceedings.

The second half saw Chapora Yuvak Sangh’s defensive line rise to the occasion, thwarting every attempt made by United Boys of Ambaulim to breach their resilience. In the 51st minute, Albino Pereira stamped his authority on the game, finding the back of the net and extending Chapora Yuvak Sangh’s advantage to an insurmountable margin.

Tempers flared as the game progressed, with Royson Carvalho of United Boys of Ambaulim receiving a cautionary yellow card in the 65th minute. Not to be outdone, Alfred Carvalho of Chapora Yuvak Sangh joined the list of cautioned players in the 67th minute, adding an intriguing subplot to the match.

In the 71st minute, Chandan Gorekar added the final touch of brilliance for Chapora Yuvak Sangh, sealing their victory with a goal that oozed both finesse and determination. The closing minutes witnessed Sankalp Kankonkar and Akshay Dabholkar each receiving yellow cards in the 87th and 88th minute, underlining the intensity that coursed through the game until the very end.

With their commanding performance, Chapora Yuvak Sangh secured their passage to the highly coveted GFA First Division.

In another match, Vagator Parish Youth sc  defeated OL OF Gloria 3-1 in the GFA Second Division league held at Don Bosco Fatorda ground on Tuesday.

The first half remained goalless, with both teams displaying resilience in defense and a fierce determination to break the deadlock. As the second half commenced, Vagator Parish Youth SC swiftly gained the upper hand. Regan Costa struck the first blow for his team in the 49th minute, showcasing his clinical finishing ability.

Not content with a solitary goal, Vagator Parish Youth SC continued their attacking onslaught. Mitesh Hoble extended their lead in the 55th minute, leaving OL OF Gloria struggling to contain their opponents. The relentless pressure paid off once again for Vagator Parish Youth SC, as J. Dias found the back of the net in the 76th minute, securing a commanding advantage.

OL OF Gloria fought back valiantly and managed to pull one goal back through Velroy Bosges in the 81st minute, injecting a glimmer of hope into the contest. However, their efforts were ultimately in vain as Vagator Parish Youth SC held firm until the final whistle, sealing a well-deserved victory.

Dunes SC and Super Goans FC Secure Narrow 2-1 Wins in the GFA U-13 Division II League.

Dunes SC scored a narrow 2-1 win over Ave Maria A&WC in the GFA U-13 league Division II, All Goa Finals on Sunday at DBO Fatorda 

Dalston Rodrigues opened the scoring for Ave Maria A&WC, displaying remarkable precision in the 9th minute. However, the lead was short-lived as Messi Britto swiftly responded for Dunes SC, finding the back of the net in the 32nd minute.  Aliston Fernandes of Dunes SC received a cautionary yellow card in the 24th minute .As the teams headed into halftime, the score stood at an evenly poised 1-1.

The second half brought more intense action as both sides sought the decisive goal. It was Uday Narse of Dunes SC who ultimately proved to be the hero, netting a crucial goal in the 56th minute.

Unfortunately, Ave Maria A&WC’s hopes were dealt a blow when Slayden Gonsalves received two yellow cards within a span of five minutes (61st and 66th minute), leaving his team a man down on the pitch.

Despite a valiant effort from Ave Maria A&WC, they were unable to find an equalizer, succumbing to a 2-1 defeat against a resolute Dunes SC side.

In another match Super Goans FC defeated Salcete FC 2-1 at Guirim Ground 1 on Sunday .

Snow’s FA Raia secures a thrilling 2-1 win over Penha de France SC in the All Goa Finals

Snow’s FC Raia played their hearts out to register a 2-1 win over Penha De Frances SC to emerge GFA U-18 Division II, all Goa finals champions, at Navelim Ground on Saturday.

The first half saw Snow’s FA Raia take an early lead as Royson Colaco found the back of the net in the 45+2 minute, giving his team a 1-0 advantage going into halftime. The players showed great composure and tactical awareness, which reflected in their impressive performance.

Snow’s FA Raia continued their dominance in the second half, with Livon Dias extending their lead with a well-executed goal in the 58th minute. However, Penha de France SC fought back valiantly, and I. Khan managed to pull one back for his team in the 68th minute, injecting a new wave of energy into the contest.

UNITED BOYS OF AMBAULIM DOMINATE IN GFA SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE

United Boys of Ambaulim blanked Our Lady of Gloria SC, 9-0 victory in the GFA Second Division League All Goa Finals on Saturday at Benaulim Ground. 

United Boys of Ambaulim wasted no time in making their mark on the game, with Teron Fernandes opening the scoring in the 7th minute, setting the tone for what would become a dominant performance. Rayson Carvalho showcased his goal-scoring prowess with two clinical finishes in the 18th and 41st minutes, while Royal Oliveira added to the tally with a well-taken goal in the 29th minute.

The first half ended with United Boys of Ambaulim holding a commanding 4-0 lead. However, their dominance continued in the second half as Teron Fernandes added to his tally, securing a brace with another goal in the 65th minute. Carvalho  shot the ball on target once again in the 74th minute, leaving the opposition defense helpless.

Denis Oliveira then took center stage, scoring two quick goals in the 78th and 85th minutes, securing a remarkable brace. Carvalho, not to be outdone, completed a superb quadruple in the 87th minute, capping off a truly remarkable performance from United Boys of Ambaulim.

United Boys of Ambaulim’s clinical finishing and cohesive teamwork were on full display, leaving their opponents stunned. 

In another match played at Duler ground, Chapora Yuvak Sangh defeated Vagator Parish Youth SC 3-1 in the GFA Second Division League.  

Young Boys of Tonca defeated Nuvem SC 2-1

The Young Boys of Tonca made a strong start, with Sanket Jotkar scoring a goal in the 25th minute to give his team the lead. The first half ended with  Young Boys of Tonca in the lead 1-0. 

In the second half, Young Boys of Tonca continued to impress with their attacking prowess. Denvil Fernandes extended their lead in the 52nd minute, showcasing his clinical finishing skills. However, Nuvem SC demonstrated great resilience and fought back fiercely. Alloid Colaco displayed his skill and composure, scoring a vital goal for Nuvem SC in the 68th minute, narrowing the deficit.

Despite Nuvem SC’s spirited efforts, Young Boys of Tonca’s defense held firm until the final whistle, securing their 2-1 victory.

In another intense clash, Salgaocar FC (Jrs) comes out on top with a narrow 1-0 defeat of Dempo SC (Jrs).

U-18 Division II Clash

In a highly anticipated match of the GFA U-18 Division League (Division II) Salcete Zone, Panchwadi United SC and Betalbatim SC battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw at  DBO Fatorda stadium. 

The encounter commenced with Betalbatim SC’s, Rohan Yadav, breaking the deadlock in the 29th minute, sending the crowd into a frenzy. However, Panchwadi United SC quickly retaliated when Silvan Fernandes netted a spectacular goal in the 38th minute, leveling the score and reinvigorating their side.

With the momentum shifting, Panchwadi United SC gained further momentum as Auston Fernandes successfully converted a crucial chance just before halftime, securing a 2-1 lead for his team in the 45th minute. The crowd erupted in jubilation, recognizing the significance of the goal.

Betalbatim SC showcased their resilience and fighting spirit, refusing to accept defeat. In a nail-biting climax, Samuel Barreto stepped up for his team and expertly found the back of the net in the 83rd minute, restoring parity and concluding the game with a 2-2 draw.

In a scintillating showdown of the GFA U-18 Division League (Division II) Salcete Zone, Cortalim Villagers S&SWA emerged victorious with a commanding 4-2 win over Ave Maria A&WC at the picturesque Nagoa Ground.

The match commenced with Ave Maria A&WC making an early statement as Morrison Rato found the back of the net in the 7th minute, giving his team a promising start. However, the lead was short-lived as Cortalim Villagers S&SWA’s dynamic forward, Joyson Fernandes, displayed his prowess with two clinical strikes in the 10th and 21st minutes, tilting the scoreline in favor of his team.

As the first half progressed, Cortalim Villagers S&SWA continued to dominate the proceedings, with Valroy Dias adding to their tally in the 38th minute. Just moments later, Joyson Fernandes showcased his goal-scoring prowess once again, securing a well-deserved hattrick in the 40th minute, further solidifying his team’s lead.

Ave Maria A&WC displayed great resilience and determination, fighting back in the second half. Prosen Mandal breathed new life into the contest by slotting a goal past the opposition’s defense in the 70th minute, reducing the deficit. However, their efforts fell short as Cortalim Villagers S&SWA expertly maintained their advantage until the final whistle.

In another match, Snows FA Raia showcased their dominance with an astonishing 11-0 triumph over Rumdamol SC at the Navelim Ground. Amon Fernandes opened the floodgates with a goal in the 15th minute, setting the tone for a one-sided affair. Livon Dias further extended their lead in the 24th minute, while Clifton Rocha scored in the 34th and 35th minutes.

 Just before the halftime whistle, Drayan Fernandes added to the onslaught, leaving Rumdamol SC trailing by a staggering five goals.

The second half witnessed no respite for the overwhelmed Rumdamol SC defense. Prince Figuredo struck in the 57th minute, followed by Clifton Rocha in the 73rd minute, as Snows FA Raia continued their ruthless pursuit of goals. Sweetlon Fernandes, Samuel Peixito, Sowell Fernandes, and Drayan Fernandes further compounded Rumdamol SC’s misery, scoring in the 84th, 86th, 87th, and 89th minutes, respectively.

Snows FA Raia’s impeccable teamwork, clinical finishing, and relentless attacking prowess were on full display throughout the match. Rumdamol SC found themselves helpless against the relentless waves of Snows FA Raia’s attacking force.

 Our Lady Of Gloria Sports Club emerged victorious with a convincing 4-1 win over United Youth Club of Bogmallo. 

 In a thrilling encounter at the Navelim ground, O. L. Of Gloria Sports Club emerged victorious with a convincing 4-1 win over United Youth Club of Bogmalo. The action kicked off with Joel Furtado of O. L. Of Gloria Sports Club finding the back of the net in the 19th minute, setting the tone for an eventful contest. However, United Youth Club of Bogmalo quickly responded, as Sherwin Abranches leveled the score in the 23rd minute, injecting renewed energy into the match.

Not to be outdone, O. L. Of Gloria Sports Club continued to push forward, with Danny Fernandes proving to be a formidable force. Fernandes showcased his scoring ability with goals in the 39th and 82nd minutes, putting his team firmly in control of the game.

The match reached its climax in the final minutes, as Joel Furtado of O. L. Of Gloria Sports Club sealed his outstanding performance with goals in the 87th and 90+1 minutes, securing a well-deserved victory for his team.

U-15 DIVISION LEAGUE 

In an exciting U-15 Division League 2022-23 match, Futebol Club YFA took on South Goa United at Navelim Ground. The match was closely contested in the first half, but it was YFA who took the lead just before half-time through a goal from Yohann Souza in the 40+2 minute.


The second half saw South Goa United push forward in search of an equalizer, but Futebol Club YFA’s defense held strong. In the 75th minute, YFA doubled their lead through a well-placed shot from Puran Thopil.

Despite their best efforts, South Goa United couldn’t find a way past YFA’s defense and the match ended with a 2-0 victory for Futebol Club YFA.

In another one-sided encounter at DBO Fatorda Ground, Salcete FC outclassed DBO Fatorda with a resounding 5-0 victory in the U-15 Division League 2022-23. Salcete FC dominated from the start, with Pio Gomindes scoring the first goal in the 24th minute. Joston Dias added to the tally in the 31st minute.

In the second half, Salcete FC continued their attacking display with Juvenio Simoes scoring in the 48th minute. Pio Gomindes then completed his brace with goals in the 63rd and 72nd minute. DBO Fatorda tried to mount a comeback, but the Salcete FC defense stood firm to maintain a clean sheet.

Elsewhere, Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC put in a dominant display against Ave Maria A &WC at Benaulim Ground, winning the U-15 Division League 2022-23 match with a comfortable 4-0 scoreline. Darren Noronha opened the scoring for Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC in the 29th minute, giving his team the lead going into the second half.

In the second half, Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC continued to dominate and Vishnu Chawan scored two quick goals in the 68th and 71st minute to extend their lead. Sunil J Pereira added a fourth goal for Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC in the 75th minute, capping off an impressive performance from the team.

Despite their best efforts, Ave Maria A &WC couldn’t find a way past the Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC defense, as the match ended with a 4-0 victory for Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC.

GFA FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE

Mandopa SC defeated YC Manora 3-1 in their GFA First Division League match at Navelim Ground. Ajay Raj was the star for Mandopa SC, scoring two goals in the 6th and 26th minutes, while Rovan Pereira added a third goal in the 65th minute. YC Manora fought back with a goal from Eldon Colaco in the 75th minute, but it wasn’t enough to secure a result. The game was marred by red cards for both sides, with Presly Pinto of Mandopa SC and Pravin Rathod of YC Manora both receiving direct red cards in the 90+8 minute. Mackroy Peixoto of Mandopa SC and Eldon Colaco of YC Manora also received second yellow cards after the match.

In another match, Sao Jose de Areal secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Curtorim Gymkhana in their match at the Don Bosco Fatorda Ground. The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw until Vasudev Dhamgoy scored a late winner for Sao Jose de Areal in the 90+1 minute. The result will be a huge boost for Sao Jose de Areal, while Curtorim Gymkhana will be left ruing missed opportunities.
